⚠️ Rules of Conduct

1. Respect Above All

All members must maintain a welcoming and respectful environment. Acts of intolerance, prejudice, or discrimination such as sexism, racism, homophobia, ableism, elitism, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.
Avoid comments or attitudes that may cause discomfort, especially regarding gender, religion, sexual orientation, or appearance.

2. Respect Each Person's Pace

Letter exchanges are a personal and unique practice. Do not demand quick responses or pressure others. Everyone has their own time and way of expressing themselves.
Be patient and understanding, especially regarding personal issues or difficulties that may impact sending or receiving correspondence.

3. Resolve Conflicts Privately

If any disagreement arises with another member, resolve it directly in private messages. Discussions or confrontations within the group will not be accepted.
As adults, members are expected to be able to resolve their differences maturely and respectfully.

  • Do not request or demand freebies (gifts, presents, decorations) from your pen pals or other members unless they offer them spontaneously.
  • Never share third-party personal information, such as addresses, contacts, or any sensitive data, without explicit permission.
  • Respect each member's personal boundaries. Do not make unsolicited advances or insinuations, especially of a romantic or sexual nature.

5. Be Careful with Sharing Content

If you share images of letters or envelopes in the group or on social media:

  • Ensure you hide addresses, full names, and any sensitive personal data.
  • Respect the confidential nature of the correspondences.
  • Avoid exposing members or correspondence in ways that may cause embarrassment or discomfort.

6. Focus on Friendships and Group Purpose

The project aims for letter exchange focused on friendships and genuine connections.

  • Do not use the group to seek romantic relationships. Do not ask for profiles of "singles" to flirt with.
  • If a friendship naturally evolves into something deeper, keep it private and responsible, without impacting the group environment.
  • Avoid turning the group into a space for seeking relationships or personal interests that deviate from the original purpose.

7. Protection Against Delicate Situations

  • Do not share sensitive photos, such as images that expose third parties or may be interpreted as inappropriate.
  • Avoid conversations or jokes that may be misinterpreted or cause discomfort among members.
  • Be responsible when interacting with people from different backgrounds, respecting their stories, beliefs, and boundaries.

8. Avoid Discussions on Sensitive or Polarizing Topics

  • To preserve the welcoming environment, avoid bringing discussions about politics, religion, or other topics that may cause divisions or conflicts to the group.
  • If a conversation about a sensitive topic arises, maintain respect for others' opinions and avoid imposing points of view.

9. Appropriate Language

  • Use respectful and polite language in all interactions.
  • Avoid using profanity or offensive terms, even jokingly, that may be misinterpreted by other members.
  • Reflect before sending messages that may be ambiguous or cause discomfort.

10. Avoid Overloading the Group with Messages

  • Do not send excessive or repetitive messages that may divert focus from conversations or make the environment tiresome.
  • Respect everyone's space and avoid monopolizing interactions.

11. Self-Care Practices

  • Remember that each person has their own pace and challenges. If you notice that a member is going through emotional difficulties, offer support with empathy, but without invading their privacy.
  • Avoid turning the group into a space for constant venting or help requests that may overwhelm other members.

12. Respect for Group Time and Space

  • Do not send messages outside of appropriate hours (for example, late at night), unless the group has previously consented to this.
  • Avoid sharing content unrelated to the group's purpose, such as advertisements, irrelevant links, or spam messages.

13. Inclusion and Accessibility

  • Ensure that all members have the opportunity to participate in conversations.
  • Avoid using terms or references that may exclude or make it difficult for people from different backgrounds or experiences to understand.

14. Rules for Jokes and Humor

  • Jokes are welcome, as long as they respect all members' boundaries.
  • Avoid jokes about sensitive topics or that may be interpreted as offensive, even if that is not your intention.

15. Reports of Inappropriate Behavior

  • If you witness or are a victim of inappropriate behavior, inform the administrators privately.
  • The group must ensure a safe channel for members to report problems without fear of retaliation.

⚠️ Consequences

Failure to comply with any rule may result in WARNINGS OR IMMEDIATE BANISHMENT FROM THE GROUP, DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY.
Administrators have authority to act in situations that compromise the group's well-being, always seeking to maintain a healthy and welcoming environment for everyone.
